As a Christian I am… Going to be like Jesus

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2

We don’t know what we will be in the end, only God knows. When we do see Jesus again, we will then know that we are like He is.

Father, today is a special day for Kassie and I. Help us to keep it Holy and pure. We celebrate our 18th year of being together. We look forward to many more. Help us be examples to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

As a Christian I am… Protected from evil

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. 1 John 5:18

If Christ is living within you, the evil one cannot also live there. Always keep the place for God to want to live there.

Lord, I have been blessed by you with many resources to learn more about you. father I ask that my wife may enjoy these with me, that we may be able to talk about them together. In Jesus’ name, amen.

As a Christian I am… Never forgotten by God

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:15

As we are only human, we don’t have the power to remember but only through God. He remembers us not our sin.

Father, I sense round two of the colds are among us. Please help ease our suffering that we may continue to share your Word and learn as well. I ask these things in Jesus’ name, amen.

As a Christian I am… Dearly loved

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12

Because you are children of God, we must act like one. We must be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient with others.

Father, your light continues to shine on me. May I have the same ability to reflect your light that they might see you? In Jesus’ name I ask, amen.

As a Christian I am… Loved by God

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1

A relationship with the Lord. If you know the Lord, you have a relationship with Him. Communicate with Him. Pray continuously throughout the day. That’s our hotline.

Father, help me to remain close to you. With the holiday season, I tend to heed to the World. The urgent rush in. Help me shine your light.

As a Christian I am… An heir of God

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17

God keeps no favorites. We are equally loved by God as He loves Jesus.

Lord, thank you for adopting me as your child and that you are a fair God. In Jesus’ name, amen.

As a Christian I am… A temple of the Holy Spirit

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God John 1:12

We are only God’s creation. Enemies from birth. When we accept the gift of salvation by propitiation, we are adopted by God as His very own children.

Father God, I cannot express how wonderful it is to be one of your children! Thank you, thank you! I love you.

As a Christian I am… A new creation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

When we come to Christ and know Him, He adopts us as His children of infinite worth. God gives as a new trapeze bar; the new life to live by.

Lord thank you for accepting us as

children! Giving us now and renewed lives. Amen
